2008 MAUSTON PUMPKIN BASH
HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST

Only one entry per household residence.

All completed entry forms must be returned to Mauston City Hall, no later than 4:30pm, on Thursday, October 16, 2008.

Entry forms are available at Mauston City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, or can be downloaded from www.maustonpumpkinbash.com

When completed entry forms are submitted, contestants will receive a wooden pumpkin identification number. This identification number is to be displayed on the entrant’s front lawn in a place that is easily visible to foot and vehicular traffic. This pumpkin identification number should be on display from the time of entry until October 29. After the Pumpkin Bash, a representative of the Room Tax Committee will pick up the wooden pumpkin from the entrant’s lawn.

The public will determine the winners by casting their votes between October 22 and 25. Voting will be done by paper ballot. Ballots can be cast at the following locations:
October 22 - 24
Mauston City Hall, 303 Mansion Street, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Mauston Lions Park, Grayside and Division, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
October 25
Mauston Pumpkin Bash, Red Ridge Ranch (Hwy 82 East), 10:00am – 9:00pm,
(at the carved pumpkin display wagon)

Winners will be announced at the Pumpkin Bash on Sunday, October 26, at 12:00pm.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST RULES

 

Only one pumpkin per person.
All pumpkins must be delivered to Lions Park in Mauston, on Wednesday, October 22, between the hours of 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
Lions Park is located on the corner of Division Street (Hwy 58-South) and Grayside Avenue (Hwy 82-West) in Mauston.
The public can cast their vote on Thursday and Friday, October 23 and 24, between 7:00pm and 9:00pm at Lions Park, or between 10:00am and 9:00pm on Saturday, October 25, at the Pumpkin Bash, at Red Ridge Ranch (Hwy 82 East).
Judging will be done by paper ballot. Ballot forms will be available at the pumpkin display at Lions Park and at Red Ridge Ranch.
Winners will be announced at the Pumpkin Bash on Sunday, October 26, at 12:00pm

Tug of War - Printable Rules

Mauston Pumpkin Bash
TUG-A-WAR

After last year's great success with this event, we're hoping to have more participation.

The tug-a-war will be held on Sunday Oct.26 from 1pm to 3pm

1PM WILL BE REGISTRATION
Team names will be pulled from hat to set up ranking.
Each team will be 5 person with a fee of $5.00 each.
The winning team will donate the prize to a local charity of their choice.
Team may consist of males, females or both.
No age restrictions.
Team must pull 3 opposing team members across centerline.
Single elimination until one team is left.
Using bracket formation with possible bye.



TRAVELING TROPHY GOES TO WINNER WITH NAME ON PLAQUE.
